A message from Mackenzie Snyder - Founder, Children to Children:

"I began a project that I named Children to Children (CTC) to collect duffel bags and stuffed animals for children in foster care. I started this project after hearing from foster care children, Reader's Digest and a movie that foster children are given only a trash bag to put their belongings in when they move from home to home. This made me feel very sad.

They feel they are not cared about. So I decided to help. I collect duffel bags, small suitcases and backpacks to give to them so they will be able to carry their belongings. I put in a stuffed animal, so they will have something to cuddle so they won't be lonely. In this bag I also include a note from me to let them know that myself and the rest of the world do care about them.

If you are interested in helping, there are 3 ways to do it:

1. I ALWAYS need duffel bags and stuffed animals. You can send me your duffel bags or stuffed animals and I will distribute them throughout the United States. Send them to:

2. You can conduct your own drive and help children in your hometown community. Click here for specifics on what to do. Checks must be made out to MWCOG or Metropolitan Washington Council of Government and in the memo line write "children to children". and sent to the address listed on this site.

3. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to MWCOG or Metropolitan Washington Council of Government, on the memo line write Children to Children. (MWCOG are Children to Children's fiscal agent.)"
